Job description

Job Summary: The CT Technologist Assistant performs a wide variety of routine duties, including clerical, technical, and patient-related functions. The Technologist Assistant is responsible for assisting the CT department team and providing a broad range of health care services such as patient check-in, preparation for the visit, patient screening, assistance with exams and procedures, answering phone calls, checking the status of labs and lab orders, transporting patients, and acting as point of contact between CT and the ED and all other in-house patient care areas.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; or, completion of third year in the AA Early College Program of a community college and provide transcripts to HR. 
  • Radiology and/or hospital experience preferred. 
  • The Radiology Technologist Assistant must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit. 
  • The Radiology Technologist Assistant must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide in the care needed as described in the department's protocols and procedures.
  • Must maintain current AHA BLS certification. 
  • Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
