This role is ideal for candidates who are mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and motivated to improve every day. If you’re up for the challenge and want to grow your skills in a fast-paced production environment, we will invest in your development.
What We’re Looking For
  • Self-driven individuals who take ownership of their work
  • Willing to work around last minute fast paced changes
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting mindset
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and continuously improve
  • Commitment to following proper procedures and OEM standards
  • Positive attitude with the determination to push through challenges
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair industrial production equipment, including extruders, grinders, shredders, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and mechanical systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and complete work orders accurately via CMMS
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently and safely
  • Assist with equipment installs, improvements, and fabrication work
  • Support production teams with equipment operation, cleaning, and setup
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Document completed work and communicate issues clearly across shifts
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Mechanical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
  • Basic knowledge of:
    • Hydraulics and pneumatics
    • Extrusion equipment (a plus but not required)
    • Bearings, belts, chains, and drive systems
    • Welding and fabrication (a plus)
  • Electrical experience (VFDs, motors, PLC troubleshooting) is a plus, but mechanical ability is the priority
Work Environment & Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Comfortable working around moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures
  • Ability to climb, work at heights, and work in tight or confined spaces
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation
Why CT Polymers?
We are focused on building a strong maintenance culture by developing technicians from the ground up. If you’re willing to put in the effort, learn the trade, and do things the right way, this is an opportunity to grow into a highly skilled technician.
