Description:

This professional will be responsible for working collaboratively to create, implement, and manage an industry leading suite of business development programs for the GSAM Client Solutions Group (CSG) in the Bank, Independent Advisor, Broker-Dealer, RIA, Retirement, Institutional, and International Channels. This position reports to GSAM's CSG Global Head of Business Strategy and represents the opportunity to work closely with CSG external/internal sales professionals/managers and financial professionals in a consultative and collaborative fashion. 

Qualified candidates should have a proven track record of successfully developing and implementing professional development, practice management, and training programs for financial advisors and financial intermediary sales professionals.  Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills, experience delivering engaging educational content, workshops, and presentations, and the ability to concurrently manage multiple initiatives and projects that involve a variety of disciplines. The candidate should be a self-starter and have an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities: 

  • Work collaboratively with the Business Strategy Team to develop, refine, and manage the suite of practice management programs, team development programs, and sales development programs for financial advisors/professionals and institutional clients.  These clients are located in the US, EMEA, & Asia.
  • Coordinate with internal/external CSG sales/service to source new business and coordinate with client-advisors to ensure timely completion of projects and deliverables.
  • Assist in conducting training/coaching programs for select GSAM intermediary clients designed to help them be better practitioners and professionals e.g., grow their business, better serve clients, enhance their skills.
  • U.S. based.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Strong interpersonal and business analysis skills
  • Understanding of business practices materials used by financial advisors and institutions
  • Wealth management industry experience (10-15+ years), particularly working with financial advisors and institutions affiliated with Independent firms, Bank/Trust organizations, RIA, and Broker-Dealer firms.
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Bachelor's degree 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Experience as a financial advisor, or internal/external Sales professional
  • Experience as an Executive Coach
  • Direct coaching experience with financial professionals
  • Industry-recognized designation:  CFA, CFP, CIMA, ICF Coach
