Overview

As the Software Engineer working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will maintaintechnical and engineering support in the systems engineering, integration, development, maintenance, documentation, and operation of Training Tools.


This is a contingent position based on award/funding from the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and analytical support to interface with various Government and Contractor organizations

  • Review specification documents and provide comments to theappropriate NavyReview Team (NRT) and/or Fleet Project Team

  • Report any computer program problem found during the development and maintenance of exercise scenarios, bysubmittinga Test Observation Report (TOR), Problem Report (PR), or an AEGIS Change Review Board (CRB) Computer Program Change Requests (CPCR) or Trouble Report (TR), as appropriate

  • Review and provide comments for TORs and CPCR/TR todeterminethe impact on the development and maintenance of scenarios

  • Participate in meetings related to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of ACTS exercise scenarios

  • Periodically be required to provide on-site engineering support at the SCSTC, the SCSTC Detachments, Combat System Engineering Development Site (CSEDS), Moorestown, NJ, andSurface Combat System Center (SCSC), Wallops Island, VA, and the Advanced Atalanta Test and Integration Lab (AATIL), Dam Neck, VA to include but not limited to: Navy validation of scenarios, validation of lessons, and feedback and/or CPCR/TR analysis


Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Secret Clearance (Ability to obtain TS/SCI)

  • Experience in computer program requirements definition, design, programming, and debug to include computer-based training applications

  • Experience in the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), SCORM, and Web multimedia development tools such as HTML 5

  • Experience in creating software programs, e.g., games, computer-based education, military interactive courseware, desktop publishing, spreadsheets, client/server applications, multimedia, interactive multimedia instruction, Internet technology, distance learning,Simulationsand virtual reality

  • Experience in updating, repair, andmodifyingcode and routines of existing software programs

  • Shallhave basic understanding of AI Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), and Large Language Model (LLM) fundamentals

  • Experience in sourcing, cleaning, labeling, and organizing vast amounts of data used to train AI models and ensure products from AI models function correctly, reliably, and ethically, including checking for accuracy, bias, robustness, and compliance


Salary range (subject to experience and qualifications): $95,000-$115,000
