Job description

ETC has an opening for a Material Handler/Cycle Counter at our Middleton, WI facility. This first-shift position will involve monitoring inventory and conducting cycle counting within our manufacturing areas.

Our ideal candidate will have prior inventory/cycle counting experience along with a strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Representative Responsibilities:
• Monitors component inventory and performs cycle counting duties to ensure that materials are properly verified & reflective of reported inventory
• Assist Planning, Production, Engineering and Customer Service in locating materials
• Cycle counting materials in manufacturing departments daily by using SAP reports to determine priority
• Counting and organizing overstock
• Counting other inventories when assigned (VMI inventory, low usage inventory, bulk/expensed inventory)
• Moving materials in and out of Manufacturing departments based off usage.
• Setting up new material in departments.
• Cycle count materials based on the “ABC” grouping system which will be monitored by the Inventory Control Manager and/or Purchasing Manager.
• Create and process cycle count sheets in SAP
• Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports.
• Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.
• Responsible for answering CS, Planning, Production and Engineering inquiries in a timely manner.
• Assist all Stockroom, Shipping, and/or other Manufacturing departments in locating materials.
• Assist in updating Material Master for materials in SAP.
• Monitors location accuracy • Adheres to safety standards at all times
• Abides by safety procedures, work practice controls, and OSHA guidelines
• Wears personal protective equipment when required
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment
• Backs up Inventory Control Specialists as needed
• Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashion.

Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or its equivalent (GED)
• 2 years previous work experience in an inventory related job dealing with cycle counts, work orders and stockroom receiving
• Knowledge of basic receiving procedures and practices
• Computer skills
• Good oral communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Able to operate a pallet jack
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
