Job description

A large manufacture that provides retail and pharmacy shelving is looking for a dedicated person to join their team to manage and optimizing company systems to enhance business operations and ensure data integrity across departments and for resolving technical issues that arise in the workplace. They are expected to identify the source of the issue, troubleshoot and develop timely, cost-effective solutions. Candidate must possess the ability to plan their schedule effectively while handling multiple projects at once.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE (A MUST) include usage of workplace terminology and systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, Global Shop Solutions ERP software, Crystal Reports, SQL, and vendor websites, such as, GSS-Service and Tekcetera Support.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Provide and/or liaison with Tekcetera and Global Shop or current vendors to provide daily technical support to end users, including troubleshooting system and hardware errors or problems, answering questions about computer use, etc.
  • Liaison with Tekcetera or current vendor to maintain data storage, security and back-ups
  • Coordinate with Tekcetera or current vendors to purchase new computers or equipment as needed; repair or repurpose hardware or equipment where possible
  • Set-up new users and workstations, including the preparation of hardware, software, e-mail, printer access, system security access, etc.
  • Install and maintain network connections, hardware and software applications with Tekcetera or current vendor input
  • Provide ongoing training to employees on technologies (Global Shop, GUI, Outlook, etc.) and computer best practices
  • Create technical documentation such as manuals and procedure books while ensuring/maintaining a technological standard of conduct throughout the company
  • Manage Global Shop implementation projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget
  • Track computer system securities (data control organization, etc.) and maintain system security access spreadsheet
  • Liaison with Global Shop to facilitate the operation and integration of the Global Shop ERP Software
  • Coordinate and implement system maintenance, updates, hotfixes, etc.
  • Create and maintain reports within Global Shop using Crystal Reports or other applications as necessary
  • Aid with year-end processes within Global Shop
