Reports To: Director of Information Security / CISO

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Security Engineer to join our growing security team. This individual will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our security infrastructure, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with deep knowledge of security engineering, threat detection, incident response, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Architecture & Engineering: Design and implement secure network, application, and cloud architectures to defend against evolving threats.

  • Monitoring & Incident Response: Lead the development and execution of incident response plans. Investigate and respond to security alerts and breaches.

  • Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests; track and remediate findings.

  • Tooling & Automation: Manage and optimize security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, firewalls, etc.); develop automation scripts to streamline security operations.

  • Risk Management: Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate security gaps; collaborate with other departments to enforce security best practices.

  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure systems and processes meet regulatory and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.).

  • Mentorship & Collaboration: Mentor junior engineers and work cross-functionally with IT, DevOps, and development teams to build security into the entire technology stack.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security or a similar technical security role.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.

  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles.

  • Solid knowledge of networking, system administration (Linux/Windows), and scripting (Python, Bash, etc.).

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in threat intelligence and hunting.

  • Familiarity with zero trust architectures.

  • Involvement in open-source security tools or community.
