Job summary

As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in combining technical expertise with strong sales acumen to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across a defined portfolio of customer and partner accounts.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with customers, partners, and Account Managers to deliver business value, conduct demos and POC/Vs, and contribute to the success of bids and tenders. You will provide end-to-end technical and business value guidance before and during the sales cycle ensuring customer requirements are met with tailored, innovative solutions.
Acting as a trusted technical advisor, you will be a key point of contact for clients, offering strategic insight and hands-on support. You'll also work closely with cross-functional teams to align solutions with customer needs and organizational goals.
Expected Travel is 20-25%

As part of the Solutions Engineering team, you will be at the forefront of emerging trends like post-quantum cryptography, IoT security, zero trust architecture, and digital identity and automation.
Your day to day will include:

Customer Engagement and Technical Discovery

  • Conduct technical discovery calls to understand customer requirements, pain points, and existing infrastructure.
  • Lead or participate in product demonstrations, showing how solutions meet client-specific needs.
  • Translate complex customer requirements into actionable technical solutions or configurations.
  • Assist with scoping customer environments to recommend best-fit products or services.

Solution Design and Architecture

  • Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and integration guides for customer engagements.
  • Deliver engaging technical presentations that deliver business value to external stakeholders and customers.
  • Design customized technical solutions based on client needs, often involving product configuration, integration planning, and API usage.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to validate feasibility or escalate edge-case needs.
  • Produce architecture diagrams, technical proposals, or proof-of-concept (PoC) plans.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of RFP/RFI responses, technical questionnaires, and bid documentation.

Cross Functional Collaborations

  • Partner with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to align technical value with customer goals.
  • Liaise with Product Managers to share customer feedback and advocate for feature enhancements or roadmap items.

What you will have

Educational Background:

  • Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience as an SE or technical salesperson, or equivalent and applicable experience as a product manager, engineer, tech support agent or administrator of enterprise-grade or IT/IS software
  • General knowledge or background in IT (ideally server administration, server OS configuration, TCP/IP networking hardware, protocols, LAN and WAN technologies & configurations, and network design) and/or IS (ideally PKI, firewall management, IDS & IPS, vulnerability management, and network scanners), in engineering, administration or support roles
  • Familiarity with cryptographic principles, digital certificates, and PKI concepts.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud) and container technologies like Kubernetes.
  • Experience or familiarity with ServiceNow, GitHub, and REST API integrations.
  • Hands-on exposure to scripting and automation using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience with DevOps and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

  • Self-motivated with ability to self-direct in strategic alignment with sales counterparts
  • Technical, organized and analytical, with ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative/innovative thinking
  • Passion for continuous learning and applying innovative solutions to complex challenges.

  • Basic project management skills to accomplish role requirements
  • Strong communications, interpersonal and presentation skills, in both written and verbal formats
  • Fluency in English

  • Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, GSEC, CCSP, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with certificate management and cryptographic tools.
  • Familiarity with code signing, load balancers, and secure key storage.
  • Understanding of SSO, SAML, OpenID authentication methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive security mindset.
