Industry: Computer & Network Security

Job Summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer uses expertise in modern development tools and practices to streamline developer operations and support software releases. By encouraging innovation and collaboration, this role supports business objectives through automation, efficient infrastructure architecture, and a focus on reliability, availability and security, helping to ensure integration and delivery of software products.

Responsible for building and maintaining the tools, processes, and environments that enable efficient software delivery. This role emphasizes automating workflows, containerizing applications, virtualization and hypervisors, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.

This role has a dual responsibility of building and maintaining on-premise as well as cloud-based infrastructure. A successful candidate should ideally have a deep knowledge of both, but we can also consider a candidate who is deep in one area and curious about and willing to learn the other.

Some of the technologies we work on include: Azure, AKS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, GitLab, ArgoCD, Artifactory, Ansible

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure automation and deployment processes.
  • Architect and manage scalable containerization and orchestration solutions for applications.
  • Drive continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) improvements to optimize workflows.
  • Monitor and enhance system performance, availability, and security through proactive measures.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve automation and deployment strategies.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for consistent and reproducible environments.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering skill development.

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4 years or more of relevant work experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or IT infrastructure.
  • Extensive knowledge of DevOps and Platform Engineering industry trends.
  • Deep understanding of scripting, version control, and infrastructure best practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of system performance, security, and reliability.
  • Strategic thinking, exceptional problem-solving abilities, high-level proficiency in relevant tools and technologies.
  • Advanced skills in infrastructure automation and deployment.
  • Expertise in containerization and orchestration, in particular Kubernetes.
  • Experience with optimizing and scaling CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to lead complex projects, drive strategic initiatives, and influence decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and lead initiatives. #LI-NA1
