Charles Schwab's Digital Assets business unit is building a spot crypto offering for retail clients. This offering will complement and integrate with the existing extensive range of products at Schwab, including trading platforms and research and analysis tools, tradeable products, award-winning educational resources, a financial news and content network, and service and relationships tailored to trader clients' needs.

Within Digital Assets, this opening reports into the Product Team that is accountable for various crypto client experiences and services including account enrollment, money movement, crypto trading, and crypto transfers.

Job Summary:

This Senior Manager role will be responsible for driving key aspects of the strategy, execution, and user experience around our planned tokenized asset offerings. Post-launch, this role will manage iterating on a range of capabilities for our tokenized product suite, including enhancements and product extensions, while optimizing for revenue, risk management, and the overall value of the offering, consistent with Schwab's 'through the client's eyes' strategy.

This role involves collaboration and cross-functional work across many services and business lines; engaging partners at all levels to develop strategies to maximize the value of tokenized assets and on-chain experiences for both clients and Schwab. Core accountabilities include:

  • Partnering with the Product Lead to develop the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our tokenized asset products and work closely with the key partners including Trading Services, Retail Digital, Schwab Technology Services, Bank & Trust Services, Operations, Finance, & Client Service & Support to deliver it.
  • Contribute to the execution and delivery of our desired tokenized asset experiences for both clients and internal operations teams, and ensure they are complementary to other cryptocurrency, brokerage, and bank products at Schwab
  • Help refine the product roadmap and priorities by managing opportunity backlog and defining enhancements/changes to the tokenization product based on customer value, feasibility, viability, and usability
  • Drive business analysis on new product experiences/features by partnering with SMEs across product, business, operations, and technology to conduct process mapping, requirements documentation, and use case modeling to help convey opportunities to delivery teams
  • Act as a utility player and step in when needed to support ad-hoc tasks across discovery/product strategy, delivery, and measurement of the product
  • Use data effectively to help drive user insights and inform product decisions
  • Partner with content strategy and design teams to support the process of getting new content and designs approved by legal and compliance
  • Partner with operations teams to help drive the formation of key operational processes and programs supporting the crypto business
  • Partner with marketing to help drive tokenized product awareness, engagement, and adoption, and to develop and define go to market plans that support
  • Proactively monitor developments in the cryptocurrency and digital asset space, including alignment with Legal and Risk on the evolving regulatory landscape, and formulate recommendations for changes/enhancements/extensions to tokenized products and their use cases
What you have
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience working in the retail online brokerage or cryptocurrency industry in a product, strategy, or operations role
  • Extensive knowledge of on-chain products including tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), DeFi, crypto trading, crypto transfers, and more
  • Strong knowledge of traditional financial products like public & private equities, treasuries, mutual funds, and more
  • Established history of developing or supporting development of digital asset product experiences related to tokenization (e.g., tokenized securities, funds, deposits, or other real-world assets)
  • Robust knowledge of digital assets and cryptocurrency, with a focus on various commonly held assets and their respective blockchain networks
  • Passion to learn and engage with digital assets, cryptocurrency, tokenization, and the blockchain ecosystem
  • Experience creating and maintaining perspective on strategic implications of key developments in the external environment, industry trends and competitor actions
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high impact customer facing product experiences
  • A deep knowledge and admiration for the fundamental principles of product management
  • A keen eye for delightful product design
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, especially in cross-functional teams
