What is a crypto advisor?

Crypto Advisors are professionals who provide guidance and expertise on cryptocurrency investments, blockchain technology, and digital asset management. They help individuals and organizations navigate the complexities of the crypto market, including buying, selling, and securely storing digital currencies. Crypto Advisors also assist with regulatory compliance, tax implications, and risk management related to cryptocurrencies. Their goal is to help clients make informed decisions and maximize the benefits of participating in the rapidly evolving world of digital assets.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a crypto advisor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Crypto Advisor, you need a deep understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency markets, and financial regulations, often supported by a background in finance, economics, or computer science. Familiarity with platforms like Coinbase, Binance, blockchain analytics tools, and relevant certifications such as Certified Bitcoin Professional (CBP) are commonly expected. Excellent analytical thinking, strong communication, and the ability to simplify complex concepts for clients set top advisors apart. These skills are crucial for guiding clients through volatile markets, ensuring compliance, and fostering trust in a rapidly evolving industry.

What are the main challenges a crypto advisor faces when guiding clients through regulatory compliance?

Crypto Advisors often encounter the challenge of keeping up with rapidly evolving regulations and ensuring clients remain compliant with varying local and international laws. This requires continuous research and strong communication with legal teams to interpret new guidance and apply it to client strategies. Advisors must also educate clients on best practices for security and reporting, while balancing innovation with compliance to help clients achieve their objectives safely.

Job description

About Figure

Figure (NASDAQ: FIGR) is transforming capital markets through blockchain. We're proving that blockchain isn't just theory - it's powering real products used by hundreds of thousands of consumers and institutions.

By combining blockchain's transparency and efficiency with AI-driven automation, we've reimagined how loans are originated, funded, and traded in secondary markets. From faster processing times to lower costs and reduced bias, our technology is helping borrowers, investors, and financial institutions achieve better outcomes.

Together with our 170+ partners, we've originated over $22 billion in home equity loans (HELOCs) on our blockchain-native platform, making Figure the largest non-bank provider of home equity financing in the U.S. Figure's ecosystem also includes YLDS, an SEC-registered yield-bearing stablecoin that operates as a tokenized money market fund, and several other products and platforms that are reshaping consumer finance and capital markets.
