What Impact You Can Make

The Area Director will coordinate and direct the actions of the Cryo Nerve Block Territory Managers (CTMs) and Clinical Specialists (CCSs) in the performance of their duties. Concentrates on data collection and analysis of sales-related information and statistics in order to accurately and effectively plan retail interactions. Creates proactive action plans that increase brand awareness of AtriCure's Cryo Nerve Block products in their assigned area. Manages and directs CTMs and CCSs in a manner that creates strong lines of communication from the field to senior management.

  • Drive activities of CTMs and CCSs in a manner that increases brand awareness, product presence and revenue generation for AtriCure's Cryo Nerve Block products
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly
  • Coordinate activities with Marketing that target specific growth areas
  • Monitor sales data on a continual basis (weekly) and make changes as needed
  • Communicate regularly with all direct reports for updates on their activities and sales performance
  • Foster a collaborative approach within accounts throughout the area ensuring an aligned strategy with the local teams across franchises
  • Disseminate information to the field ensuring all product knowledge, initiatives and trends are up-to-date
  • Develop and nurture strategic account and clinical relationships within area, as well as support and monitor key relationships of direct reports
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive needs assessment and business plan for each strategic account in order to deliver superior value to the customer and accelerate profitable growth for AtriCure
  • Perform other related tasks such as representation at national and regional events, support of corporate initiatives, attend industry trade shows and events, etc.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree required or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • MBA highly preferred
  • Specific knowledge and selling experience related to cardiac or thoracic surgical procedures is highly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years in sales leadership
  • Must have a successful track record with sales quota achievement
  • Must have the ability to identify obstacles that could impede new sales and define a solution that results in the creation of a business approach and outcome
  • Must be able to think strategically, specifically to long‑term AtriCure business plans, goals and needs for the area
  • Must have strong clinical and technical aptitude
  • Ability to travel up to 75% more depending on territory
  • Ability to pass account and hospital credentialing processes
