Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Compensation Analyst within our Total Rewards Center of Excellence (COE), you will do much more than crunch numbers—you will shape the programs that motivate and reward our team, directly positioning DISH to win. Serving as both a data expert and an internal consultant, you will partner closely with HR team members and business leaders to design, analyze, and implement competitive compensation strategies.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses an exceptional ability to turn complex data into actionable business insights, and has a proven track record of managing high-visibility projects with poise and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Market Competitiveness:
    • Conduct market pricing, research, and cost analyses to evaluate existing compensation structures and policies, ensuring business alignment and market competitiveness
    • Maintain and update the company-wide salary structure through continuous market benchmarking and collaborative discussions with business leaders on compensation drivers
  • Consulting & Leadership Advisory:
    • Act as a trusted consultant to HR partners and business leaders, providing data-driven guidance on base pay, incentive plans, and localized compensation activity
    • Translate complex data analytics into clear, actionable recommendations for senior HR and business leadership
  • Executive Compensation & Special Programs:
    • Administer executive compensation plans, including non-cash awards, and prepare materials for Board of Directors review
    • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop clear, engaging communication plans that help employees understand their total rewards package
  • Process Improvement & Operations:
    • Drive continuous improvement by developing automated HR products and services that enhance efficiency and focus on the internal "customer" experience
    • Support day-to-day department operations, ensuring an integrated, cost-effective approach to total rewards and recognition
Skills, Experience and RequirementsEducation and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree OR 1-2+ years of related compensation experience
  • Experience in both entrepreneurial and large corporate environments is desired
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Compensation and Compliance: Strong understanding of compensation trends and regulatory laws (local, state, federal); absolute discretion with highly confidential data
  • Communication and Influence: Exceptional written and verbal skills, with a proven ability to influence and build rapport at all levels, from frontline staff to senior executives
  • Execution and Agility: Highly organized with sharp attention to detail, strong time management, and the poise to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
