Job description

Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The main responsibilities will be managing bill backs for cruise line vendor accounts, following up on returns and credit notes from vendors, and ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding items. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a structured environment, takes ownership of their work, and finds satisfaction in investigating and resolving discrepancies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process bill backs for cruise line vendor accounts accurately and timely.
  • Review, process, and track returns and credit notes from vendors.
  • Reconcile transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Ensure all supporting documentation is complete and properly maintained.
  • Monitor open items and proactively follow issues through to resolution.
  • Collaborate with Cruise Team, Warehouse for returns, and Accounts Payable
  • Assist with month-end accounting activities and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Business is a plus.
  • Previous experience in an accounting, accounts receivable, accounting support, or administrative role preferred.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, and simple formulas.
  • Experience with an ERP system is an advantage.
