Savage is seeking an Evening Operations Supervisor at our Utah Crude operation in North Salt Lake, UT.Β  In this role, you will support the Operations Manager and team by helping them achieve their goals on time.Β  This includes hands-on work in material transport, maintenance, administrative assistance, and leading projects. Β 

Β What you'll be doing:

  • Serve as a "working supervisor," assisting with daily operations (including driving a truck when needed)
  • Shift starts at 1 pm, including weekend shifts and field support in Roosevelt as needed.
  • Provide day-to-day support to operators and delegate tasks based on team members' skills and operational needs.
  • Ensure effective communication with team members and keep the Operations Manager informed of progress and deficiencies.
  • Actively contribute to S7 initiatives, especially SH&E and Customer sections, ensuring safe operations by following procedures and exercising STOP WORK OBLIGATION.
  • Work closely with site management to provide safe, efficient, and worry-free customer service, meeting customer expectations and proactively addressing their needs.
  • Use Savage Operating Systems to manage logistics, team development, and scheduling.
  • Lead training for new hires and oversee all required training.
  • Attend communication and Safety Specialist meetings, visit customer sites to strengthen relationships, and ensure accurate paperwork submission post-shift.
  • Responsibilities may evolve based on company needs.

What you’ll need:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • College degree a plus
  • 1+ years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in an industrial setting
  • Willingness to relocate
  • CDL Class A required, with driving experience
  • This is a 24/7 operation, with on-call availabilityΒ 
  • Commitment to working safely at all times

Physical Requirements of this role:

  • Climb on and off trucks safely
  • Consistently bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and climbΒ frequently
  • Work, walk, and stand on uneven surfaces
  • Occasionally lift toΒ 75 lbs
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Operate basic hand tools
  • Wear required PPE
