Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE
The Production Supervisor oversees performance, output, and safety during an assigned shift. This leadership role reports to the Production Manager and is critical in ensuring smooth, high-volume production in a clean, fast-paced environment. Crown Linen operates 365 days a year, so a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is required.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of receiving, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and quality control standards
  • Communicate performance expectations and operational goals clearly to team members
  • Monitor individual and team performance, provide coaching and feedback
  • Monitor key metrics such as PPOH, quality, and labor efficiency, and report performance data
  • Identify and support continuous improvement projects using Lean or Six Sigma tools
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety, cleanliness, and accountability
  • Assist in hiring, training, evaluations, and, when necessary, disciplinary actions
  • Submit shift reports, KPIs, attendance, and safety incidents accurately and on time
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Management teams to resolve production issues quickly
  • Lead by example and foster a team-oriented work environment
  • Help resolve employee issues, customer escalations, and equipment downtime alongside supervisors
  • Ensure plant compliance with OSHA, safety standards, and company policies

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience in management, supervisory or team lead role (any industry)
  • Experience in high-volume operations with time-sensitive output in manufacturing, logistics, laundry, or warehouse settings
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with WMS or production tracking systems a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead teams, communicate clearly, and resolve conflicts in a fast-paced setting
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a high-volume setting
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and key performance metrics (KPIs)
  • Flexible availability (including weekends and holidays)
