Job description

We are seeking highly motivated Security Officers to join our Security Team!

Job Description:

  • Under the direction of the Security Manager and Security Supervisor, the Security Officer will be responsible for observing their assigned duty location, correcting and reporting all situations relating to safety and security.
  • Maintain an accurate knowledge base of all of the policies and procedures of Pacific Park and the Security Department.
  • Use of good judgment based upon prior knowledge, experience, and current laws to resolve any situations that are not specifically indicated.
  • Assist the Security Supervisor in the enforcement of all company and department policies and procedures, by way of accurately reporting all discrepancies to the Security Manager, Security Supervisor, and department managers.
  • Complete accurate reports of all situations that involve the safety and security of the guests and employees in a timely manner and distributing all reports to all department managers involved in the situations.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing.

  • Must be able to analyze and interpret data, discover facts, and develop knowledge from available statistics.

  • Must be able to handle crisis situations calmly and professionally.

  • Must have a valid California Guard Card at the time of application.

  • Must have at least two years security experience at public facilities, specifically pertaining to large crown control, constant public interaction, emergency procedures, and reporting.

  • Ability to effectively, without immediate supervision, make judgments regarding policy and procedures.

  • Strong writing and computer abilities for purposes of log entries, databases, and reports.

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekend to support Park operations.

  • Must pass pre-employment screening to include drug screening, and background check.
