The Allure Group is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to join the team at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Brooklyn, NY!

The Allure Group is a consortium of six rehabilitation centers across Brooklyn and Manhattan, NY, specializing in post-acute and sub-acute skilled nursing and rehabilitation. We pride ourselves in providing a high standard of care for patients of all ages and conditions, while upholding an environment of kindness, dignity, and respect for employees and residents alike. As a Speech-Language Pathologist at The Allure Group, you would be part of a winning team doing meaningful work to improve the quality of life, health, and comfort of residents.
Responsibilities for Speech-Language Pathologist

  • Prepare engaging exercises and activities to use during speech sessions with patients
  • Provide counseling and consultations for new patients
  • Work with SLP team and Registered Dieticians to determine safe diet
  • Create goals and objectives for patients to work toward and identify areas of progress and challenges
  • Prepare speech pathology equipment and exam room ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed
  • Attend continuing education courses and work to advance personal knowledge and experience within the field
  • Request and organize written authorization from patients involving specific follow up instructions and goals for improvement
  • Treat residents according to a treatment plan approved by the attending physician
  • Communicate with Supervisor and other health team members regarding resident progress, problems, and plans
  • Record clinical documentation according to the accepted regulatory, facility, and professional guidelines; this includes daily notes, weekly progress notes and monthly recertification documents
Speech-Language Pathologist Requirements
  • NYS License
  • A Master's degree in speech-language pathology
Preferred
  • Proficiency in Optima HCS
