Job description

Job Overview
A-B Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems & Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure modernization, virtualization, server management, network architecture, and disaster recovery initiatives. This role is responsible for designing and managing complex server and network environments while ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency across enterprise systems.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with Windows server administration, virtualization technologies, Active Directory management, infrastructure migrations, backup and recovery strategies, and enterprise endpoint solutions. This individual will collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to support strategic infrastructure initiatives and operational support activities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and support enterprise LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi network topologies
  • Architect and manage Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 server and workstation environments
  • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies for servers, network devices, and business-critical applications
  • Perform application rationalization assessments to ensure compatibility within new server and network environments
  • Strategize and execute network and server migration plans with minimal operational disruption
  • Manage and maintain complex Windows server environments across enterprise infrastructure
  • Administer and support virtualization platforms including Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, and/or Citrix XenCenter
  • Oversee server security, automate administrative tasks, and lead system upgrade initiatives
  • Build, restore, secure, and maintain on-premises Active Directory environments
  • Monitor and manage IT ticketing systems, ensuring tickets are updated with accurate and detailed technical information
  • Support infrastructure modernization and endpoint management initiatives
  • Assist with troubleshooting, performance tuning, and operational support for enterprise systems and services
  • Collaborate with technical teams on infrastructure planning, migration, and implementation projects
Required Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience managing enterprise Windows server environments
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, and/or Citrix XenCenter virtualization platforms
  • Strong knowledge of server security, automation, patching, and system upgrade processes
  • Experience managing, restoring, and securing on-premises Active Directory environments
  • Knowledge of enterprise network design, topology, and infrastructure support
  • Experience developing backup and recovery strategies for enterprise systems
  • Proficiency using enterprise IT ticketing systems and documenting technical work accurately
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with user profile analysis and migration
  • Experience with desktop and mobile device imaging and user transition support
