Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES


The Director of Supply Chain will lead and oversee the company’s supply chain functions, including Purchasing, Stockroom, and Shipping, with responsibility for improving efficiency, controlling costs, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, and supporting operational goals.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies and plans that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support company objectives.
  • Lead supplier identification, evaluation, selection, and ongoing performance management. Negotiate supplier agreements in collaboration with appropriate internal departments.
  • Develop procurement plans and forecasts aligned with operational requirements and business targets.
  • Monitor purchasing activity and supplier compliance, establish best practices, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain inventory strategies that support operational needs while meeting company financial objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain processes, systems, and overall performance.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve supply chain procedures, processes, reporting, and analytics, including requirements related to suppliers and third-party logistics providers.
  • Monitor key supply chain metrics and financial performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead and develop the Supply Chain team, including Purchasing, Stockroom, and Shipping. Provide training, coaching, mentoring, and performance guidance.
  • Promote a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented team environment.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years of supply chain management experience in a leadership role within an Aerospace Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing diverse teams across Purchasing, Stockroom, and Shipping functions.
  • Experience using ERP systems and other technologies to improve supply chain performance. Quantum experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to analyze complex and changing situations, identify solutions, and implement processes that improve visibility and support future growth.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally and presenting information to and influencing senior leadership.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and lead team members toward common goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of gas turbine engine operations and related technical concepts.
  • Ability to effectively utilize ERP and other business systems for workflow management, reporting, purchasing, inventory, and account management.
  • Understanding of financial reporting, supply chain metrics, and key performance indicators.
  • Ability to analyze data and use information to drive operational and financial decisions.
