Job Description

Position Overview: This position will be responsible for overseeing all operations of the seed hub's day-to-day workload. This includes, but is not limited to, having the ability to lead a team, ensure efficiencies are met, ensure customer's orders are correct and delivered in a timely manner. Maintain Keystone standards in all operations, including the safety of all workers and customers.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in managing the day-today operations of the facility according to divisional objectives, to provide patrons with prompt, courteous and effective service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a maximum margin of profit

  • Keep branch personnel up to date on their customer's orders that are ready for them to either deliver or to have their customers pick up

  • Order all seed for the salespeople through the Agvance Ordering system and Seed Sales Tool

  • Palletize and otherwise make ready for shipment, all seed orders

  • Manage all downstream treatment of Soybeans

  • Assist with running application equipment and tender trucks, as needed

  • Assist Agronomy Branch's with Operational Tasks - Deliveries, loading and unloading trucks

  • Maintain a safe working environment

  • Ensure that department facilities and equipment meet all federal, state, and OSHA regulations

  • Manage costs by eliminating shrink, managing inventories and maximizing efficiencies

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must understand basic business principles of inventory management andpersonnel supervision

  • Demonstratedstrong leadership and organizational skills

  • Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement, or ability to obtain

  • Category 1Aand 4applicators license, or ability to obtain

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Detail oriented with excellent communicationskills, both verbal and written

  • Must be a team player and enjoy the effort necessary to contribute to a successful operation and company

  • Ability and desire to solve problems in the fields of our customersand supportinglocations

  • Should have a relative knowledge of crop diagnostics, crop protection, seed and fertility

Education and Experience:

  • BS Agriculture related degree preferred

  • 3 - 5 years progressive Agronomy related experience

  • Experience leading safety and business improvement strategies
