Job description

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will lead Weave's next phase of growth by evolving our marketing engine into a scalable, efficient, and vertically differentiated growth platform. As a key member of the executive team, this leader will partner closely with the CRO in shared accountability for pipeline and revenue outcomes, strengthening our inbound foundation while expanding product-led and partner-driven growth. The CMO will strengthen Weave's brand across SMB and large-group healthcare practices, including DSOs, VSOs, MSOs, and adjacent healthcare verticals, while elevating marketing's strategic impact with the executive team and Board. This leader will play a critical role in positioning Weave as an AI leader in healthcare communications and practice growth, translating product innovation into clear market differentiation and category leadership. The role requires a modern marketing executive who can scale proven strengths, modernize areas of opportunity, and leverage AI, data, and automation to build a more intelligent, disciplined marketing engine for sustained long-term growth. This leader must also be adept at responding to disruption and transformation across the marketing landscape, including the shift from traditional SEO to GEO, and ensure Weave stays ahead of how customers discover, evaluate, and engage with our brand.

What You Will Own
  • Define and execute a multi-year marketing strategy aligned to company growth, efficiency, and market expansion goals.
  • Partner with the CRO in shared accountability for pipeline creation and revenue performance, aligning inbound, outbound, lifecycle, and emerging product-led motions.
  • Evolve Weave's inbound-led growth engine to improve efficiency, reduce cost structure, and increase predictable pipeline contribution.
  • Strengthen Weave's brand positioning across SMB and large-group healthcare verticals (medical, dental, optometry, veterinary), ensuring differentiated and compelling market presence.
  • Lead product marketing strategy, including vertical go-to-market execution, competitive positioning, messaging clarity, and launch excellence.
  • Expand lifecycle and customer marketing programs to drive adoption, expansion, and long-term retention.
  • Lead the development of a compelling and evolving IR and PR narrative that strengthens investor confidence, shapes market perception, and positions Weave as the AI leader in healthcare communications.
  • Support marketing strategy related to potential M&A activity, including brand integration, messaging alignment, and go-to-market coordination.
  • Drive performance across digital, content, creative, events, communications, and partner marketing channels with clear ROI accountability.
  • Develop and mentor a ~50 person marketing organization, strengthening leadership bench and operational discipline.
  • Establish clear KPIs that tie marketing investment to pipeline velocity, conversion rates, customer acquisition cost, and overall revenue contribution.
  • Represent Marketing in executive and Board discussions, translating strategy and performance into clear business outcomes.

What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job
  • 15+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including senior executive experience within a B2B SaaS organization.
  • Proven success scaling a multi-channel marketing engine in an inbound-led environment with meaningful outbound partnership.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve marketing efficiency and optimize cost structure while sustaining growth.
  • Experience serving SMB markets, driving successful up-market expansion, and leading verticalized go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong partnership track record with Sales leadership, including shared accountability for pipeline and revenue commitments.
  • Deep expertise in demand generation, product marketing, brand strategy, and growth analytics.
  • Experience presenting to and engaging with Boards of Directors.
  • Experience supporting or leading marketing efforts related to M&A integration is strongly preferred.
  • Track record of building and developing high-performing marketing leadership teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and excellence in managing significant marketing budgets with ROI discipline.
