Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Pay Rate: $206.61 - $223.65

This facility is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.


Details & requirements for this opportunity:

  • Available Shift Length and Scheduling Requirements: 2 CRNAs needed for 5x8 hour shifts. 1 CRNA needed for 24-hour or 12–16-hour overnight shifts (example: noon–7am). No mandatory call. CRNA covers OB and emergent OR cases after 7pm. CRNA call is voluntary.
  • Required Cases: Pediatrics (required), general, orthopedic, OB, GYN, urology, vascular, neuro, ophthalmology, thoracic, cardiac (152 open hearts/year), some trauma. Must be willing to float to OR/Surgery.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
  • Care Team (and ratio) or Independent: Care Team Model – 11 Physicians / 32 CRNAs. Medically directed, 1:2 or 1:3 ratio. Physicians supervise CRNAs. CRNAs perform spinals and a-lines. CRNAs may do regionals/epidurals depending on interest/skill. Physicians do all cardiac cases.
  • Credentialing Timeframe: Up to 90 days. Temps rarely available.
  • License required or willing to license: Active Pennsylvania license required at time of presentation. Board Certification required. ACLS and BLS required. IMLC not applicable. CSR/DEA not required.
