About the Mission You Will Join:
The Department of State has entrusted VMD to perform internal and external-facing informational websites and web applications activities specifically for the Bureau of Consular Affairs. VMDโ€™s mission is to perform operations and maintenance/decommissioning & modernization activities over legacy websites to support ongoing operations and the modernization of its website governance, architecture, and design.
Your Impact to the Mission:
  • Work with Business Analysts and Scrum teams to define and document business functional requirements and rules.
  • Develop meeting minutes, procedures, manuals, and other documentation
  • Learn how to respond to, troubleshoot, facilitate and fulfill helpdesk tickets.
  • Learn to support daily/weekly/quarterly Scrum ceremonies
  • Learn to support the reporting of Scrum/release metrics to the Program as needed.
  • Learn to support testing of new releases, as necessary.ย  ย ย 

Experience Needed to Be Successful:ย 

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experienceย 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications, including Excel.
  • Must have excellent (verbal and written) communication and organizational skills. ย 

Desired Qualifications and Experience: ย 

  • IT classes or training if possess a non-technical degree ย

  • Department of State or Bureau of Consular Affairs experience is a plusย 
  • Visa or Passport applications experience, a plus
