Job description

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Specialist to support the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support of enterprise and industrial infrastructure environments across multiple client projects.

This is a senior-level technical role for someone who can operate independently in a fast-paced professional services environment and contribute across architecture, technical design, implementation, documentation, and advanced troubleshooting. The role is heavily focused on network and infrastructure systems that support operational technology and critical infrastructure environments, including data centers, industrial facilities, utility-related systems, and remote connectivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and ongoing support of infrastructure solutions across multiple concurrent client projects  
  • Design, deploy, and troubleshoot routed and switched network environments for enterprise, industrial, and critical infrastructure systems  
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting across routing, switching, firewall, wireless, LTE/cellular, cloud, remote access, and general infrastructure connectivity issues  
  • Support infrastructure modernization, upgrades, expansions, migrations, and cutovers with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and operational continuity  
  • Build and maintain standardized configurations, templates, and support processes to improve consistency across projects and client environments  
  • Collaborate with internal team members, project managers, cybersecurity personnel, field teams, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical outcomes  
  • Support environments requiring resilient and secure communications, including high-availability designs, WAN connectivity, VPNs, and remote site connectivity  
  • Support LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructure design, implementation, and troubleshooting  
  • Support Azure and/or AWS infrastructure and networking environments  
  • Develop network designs including IP addressing schemes, segmentation strategies, and resilient architecture patterns  
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including logical and physical network diagrams, Visio drawings, implementation plans, cut sheets, and as-built documentation  
  Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of technical experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, certifications, and hands-on technical experience  
  • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, HSRP, and VRRP  
  • Proficiency in switching technologies including VLANs, STP, RSTP, RPVST+, and VPC  
  • Strong understanding of IPsec, VPN, and secure remote access technologies  
  • Experience with LTE/cellular connectivity solutions  
  • Strong packet analysis and troubleshooting capability using packet captures, routing validation, and protocol-level diagnostics  
  • Strong technical documentation and diagramming skills, including Microsoft Visio  
  • Ability to manage and prioritize work across multiple active projects and support efforts  
  • Effective communication skills for both technical teams and clients  
  • Strong ownership, follow-through, and attention to detail  
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in IT, OT, industrial, utility, power, or critical infrastructure environments  
  • Experience with VMware, virtual networking, or virtualized infrastructure environments  
  • Experience with Azure and/or AWS networking  
  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects in a consulting, systems integration, or client-facing services environment  
  • Cybersecurity experience, especially in segmentation, secure access design, firewall policy support, and infrastructure hardening  
  • CISSP certification is a plus
