Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual counseling sessions with low-acuity adults, employing ethical and solution-focused therapy techniques via secure video chat.
• Formulating individualized treatment plans that incorporate measurable goals, based on thorough assessments of clients' mental and behavioral health needs.
• Helping clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and interpersonal dynamics to foster self-awareness and improve coping strategies.
• Tracking client progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure continuous improvement and optimal outcomes.
• Providing crisis intervention and supportive resources to clients as needed, demonstrating compassion and professionalism.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will predominantly work with stable, low-acuity adult clients who may be dealing with a variety of life transitions, stressors, or chronic conditions. This demographic is growing rapidly, necessitating a compassionate, understanding approach to facilitate their mental health journeys. Your role is critical in helping clients achieve insights and healthy coping mechanisms in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current state licensure in one of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a psychologist (PsyD).
• The ability to practice independently without supervision and a clean disciplinary record.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong empathetic disposition and a solid understanding of recent psychotherapy developments.
• Proficiency in computer applications and telehealth platforms.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in telehealth or virtual therapy settings, although not mandatory.
• Familiarity with specific therapeutic models and techniques effective in treating anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with a diverse client population effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $50,000 to $130,000, dependent on your availability and the number of clients you choose to take on.
