Gameday Grounds Crew (Part-Time / Seasonal)
Location: Hinchliffe Stadium - Paterson, New Jersey
Pay Rate: $16-$20 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Part-Time / Seasonal / Nights, Weekends & Holidays Required
Position SummaryThe New Jersey Jackals are seeking hardworking, dependable, and team-oriented individuals to join our Gameday Grounds Crew for the upcoming baseball season at historic Hinchliffe Stadium. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a professional playing surface and delivering a first-class fan and player experience during all home games and stadium events.
The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about sports, teamwork, and live event operations.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the baseball field before, during, and after games
  • Assist with batting practice setup and post-game field cleanup
  • Handle tarp pulls and weather-related field protection procedures
  • Maintain dugouts, bullpens, foul territory, and surrounding field areas
  • Operate basic groundskeeping tools and equipment safely
  • Assist with stadium setup for special events, concerts, and community programs
  • Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and safe
  • Work collaboratively with stadium operations and baseball staff

Qualifications
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours
