Overview

B3H is seeking an Aircrew Scheduling Specialist to support AMC flying squadrons by building and maintaining flight schedules, tracking training and availability constraints, coordinating with squadron leadership and support offices, and producing required scheduling-related reports and authorizations.

B3H is a leader in building winning DoD and corporate teams. B3H provides the full spectrum of strategic planning, program management, acquisitions management, systems engineering & integration, cost analysis, training, systems requirements analysis, and instructional system design for the DoD. B3H delivers quality performance with complete government visibility and control. Corporate headquarters are in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the training officer, trainingย non-commissioned officer (NCO), squadron aviation resource management (SARM)ย specialist, Unit Deployment Manager (UDM), and Operations Officer (DO) to arrange a schedule to facilitate operations, qualification, upgrade, test, exercises, and continuation training accomplishment to meet required currency and progression standards, IAW DO priorities.ย 
  • Build long- and short-range shift schedules to ensure full coverage of all aircrew, instructor, evaluator, support personnel, and supervisor positions.ย 
  • Coordinate with senior squadron leadership on a daily and weekly basis. Coordinate with simulator contractors asย requiredย for simulatorย events.ย 
  • Track crewmember leave, temporary duty, scheduled medical appointments or other scheduling commitments.ย ย 
    • De-conflict crewmember schedules and coordinate with flight leadership to ensure crew members are available to meet assigned sortie taskings.ย 
  • Track daily flight/ground/academic training requirements and accomplishments toย facilitateย accurateย flight scheduling in support of the operations officer.ย ย To the maximum extent possible, schedule aircrew based on experience to mitigate Operational Risk Management (ORM) as detailed in AMCI 90-903, Aviation ORM.ย ย Schedule IAW guidance as outlined by Stan/Eval in conjunction with applicableย aircraftย manuals,ย appropriate supplements, and the Go-No/Go Process Guide.ย ย Updates will be reported to squadron leadership.ย 
  • Facilitate last-minute schedule changes to ensure full coverage by working with the current mission commander/operations supervisor (or equivalent) and flight responsible for the shift that is not fullyย manned.ย 
  • Publish/post scheduling data for unit long-/short-range ground/academic, flying, and simulator training event schedules on computer database systems.ย 
  • Comply with Ops Group and Wing Current Operations (OSO), and Group Training (OST)ย locally developedย guidance when building the schedule.ย 
  • Perform daily updates of scheduling data to compensate for changing conditions and training completion rates.ย 
  • Coordinate with OSO, OST, outside agencies/exercise participants and higher headquarters, for example: RED FLAG, GREEN FLAG, Mobility Guardian, Weapons School support, for reporting and toย facilitateย exercise and special event schedules.ย 
  • Provide inputs to Wing Scheduling/Current Operations through attendance at weekly meetings for schedule coordination and de-confliction.ย 
  • Produce Flight Authorizations which have cleared the Group Stan/Eval Go-No/Go process.ย 
  • Update Load Tracker for the next week's schedule.ย 
  • Produceย weeklyย Flying Hour Effectiveness Report (A001).ย The Flying Effectiveness Report will be developed and produced IAW local policy and procedures and reflect accomplishment of required training events asย determinedย by local leadership.ย 
  • Produceย weeklyย Flying Hour Program Reportย (A002).ย The Flying Hour Program Report will be developed and produced IAW local policy and procedures and derived from the AFTO 781 and other sources used to track hoursย expendedย to reflect accomplishment of assigned flying hours.ย 
  • Provide security manager a weekly list ofย DISSย requirementsย toย generateย DISSย letters asย requiredย for training missions.ย 
  • Coordinate with Aerial Delivery, Training, Loadmaster Scheduler, and Wing Scheduling/Current Operations to ensureย appropriate trainingย loads are assigned to each line on the schedule.ย 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree preferred in aviation operations, aviation management, logistics, business, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in aircrew scheduling, flying squadron operations, current operations, SARM/HARM support, aviation operations support, or comparable military aviation scheduling environment
  • Experience working with scheduling databases, training status inputs, and recurring scheduling reports
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic, deadline-driven, medium- to high-stress operational environment
  • Strong coordination and communication skills with squadron leadership and support offices
