Job description

Parking Lot Striping Crew Member Northern Virginia Part-time | $18.00–$20.00/hour | Mostly outdoor work, nights and weekends common

1-800-STRIPER is hiring a part-time crew member to join our parking lot striping team, working on sites throughout Northern Virginia. This is hands-on, outdoor work — most jobs are scheduled at night or on weekends, when parking lots are empty and safe to work in.

About the Role As a crew member, you'll work alongside the crew to lay out and paint lines, stencils, and markings in parking lots and similar paved areas. The schedule is part-time and irregular — some weeks may be busier than others, and most work happens in the evening or on weekends to avoid disrupting businesses during operating hours. This is almost entirely outdoor work, in a range of weather conditions.

What You'll Do

  • Set up and break down job sites, including traffic cones, signage, and safety barriers
  • Measure and lay out parking spaces, lines, arrows, stencils, and ADA markings
  • Operate line-striping equipment and paint machines (training provided)
  • Load, unload, clean, and perform basic maintenance on equipment and the company vehicle
  • Follow site safety procedures, especially when working near traffic or in low-light conditions
  • Work efficiently as part of a small crew to complete jobs on schedule

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Able and willing to work afternoons, nights and weekends
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Able to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout a shift
  • Reliable and able to work well as part of a small crew
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in striping, paving, construction, or general labor
  • Valid driver's license

Pay & Schedule

  • Pay: $18.00–$20.00/hour, depending on experience
  • Part-time — hours vary week to week based on scheduled jobs
  • Nights and weekends are common; this is not a standard daytime schedule
  • Work is almost entirely outdoors, on parking lots and similar paved surfaces
