The Job at a Glance

Provides financial and account services to members in a confident and professional manner that assures efficient operations and exceptional service.  Assertively executes cross selling with members and potential members to increase growth. This position requires accurately handling member requests, such as but not limited to, deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, new account opening, member interviews, and/or any other request from members.  Accommodates staffing needs throughout the branch platform as required.

A Typical Day

  • Take responsibility and accountability in following all service standards set forth by the credit union; provide informed, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
  • Performs teller duties:  process member transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
  • Assists members with opening and closing accounts, and addresses and resolves member problems, inquiries, or complaints.
  • Assist applicants with consumer and mortgage loan applications and questions.  Explain loan programs, options, and requirements.  NMLS is required.
  • Promote the credit union’s products and services based on member needs and identifying opportunities.  Actively participate in developing new business for the credit union
  • Represent the credit union in a courteous and professional manner; provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in all areas. 
  • Stays abreast of emerging financial trends to better meet members’ needs.
  • Accountable for achieving or exceeding individual sales goals and participating in team sales and referral goals.
  • Maintains knowledge of all Credit Union 1 products, services, procedures while staying informed of all policy and procedural changes
  • Maintains member confidence and protects credit union operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Performs other duties as necessary or directed.
