A credit union teller provides bank teller services at a nonprofit financial institution. As a credit union teller, your responsibilities include processing customer transactions, overseeing cash withdrawals and check deposits, and helping customers open or close accounts. You may also balance the check drawer, encode checks, count the money that goes in and out of the credit union each day, and maintain a thorough knowledge of funds available. Other duties include identifying fraudulent checks or cash and reporting such issues to management.
