Job description

Intuit's Consumer Group, including TurboTax, empowers millions of individuals to take control of their finances. TurboTax simplifies tax preparation and enables our customers to file with confidence. We leverage data and insights to innovate and enhance our consumer offerings. Now, we are expanding our focus to Consumer Lending within the Consumer Group, including TurboTax, and require a strong performer to join our Credit Risk Analysts. This role will be crucial in supporting our consumer lending initiatives, while navigating the complexities of Fintech Risk, alongside our core tax preparation business. If you are passionate about building that drives results through data-driven insights in consumer lending spaces, and understands the unique risks within Fintech, this role is for you.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement credit risk strategies and policies and drive business growth by supporting and scaling strategies for consumer lending and banking portfolio
  • Develop & Enhance the credit Policy and program and establish a framework to ensure lending activities are in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with teams across Intuit (including product development, marketing, data engineering, compliance, risk , data scientists etc.) to enable decision support and key customer insights in the consumer banking risk and analytics spaces.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and analysts to ensure analytical & risk solutions are scalable, repeatable, effective, and meet expectations of various stakeholders in the consumer lending area.
  • Use big data technology to mine massive scale transactional data to improve credit risk strategies for consumer lending and banking and design new risk-adjusted policy proposals.
  • Improve the current customer experience in consumer banking by deploying risk mitigations enabling product feature expansion to industry standard.
  • Provide recommendations utilizing multiple types of data, business knowledge, and strategic assumptions when data doesn't exist, specifically in the consumer lending context.
  • Analyze portfolio performance at a granular segment level on an ongoing basis. Identify trends and conduct root-cause analysis to isolate key performance drivers
  • Ensure data collection and data processing is optimized to provide crystal-clear visibility into the impact and value of new consumer lending initiatives and product releases.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Risk Analysts to drive creative ideas, use of the latest data techniques, and elevate outcomes within consumer lending.
  • Identify and evaluate new vendors / data sources and create business cases to enhance risk policies

Experience & Leadership


  • Proven leader in the data and risk space with 10+ years of experience driving cross-team collaboration and business requirement clarity, particularly in consumer lending.
  • Domain expertise in FinTech, Risk, and Financial services, with a specific focus on Consumer Lending.
  • Demonstrated history of highly effective cross-functional leadership in large matrixed organizations, aligning stakeholders and launching product features in fast-paced environments.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories with data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong strategic mindset combined with a willing 'roll up your sleeves' attitude and a commitment to coaching team members.
  • Proactive self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and end-to-end quantitative thinking.
  • Strong organization and task prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects to meet key objectives.


Technical Expertise 


  • Expertise in analytics tools such as Python, R, SAS, and SQL environments.
  • Experience working with BI tools including Tableau, QuickSight, and Databricks.
  • Analytically minded with experience managing large-scale data projects; product management experience is a significant plus.
  • Undergraduate degree in Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field required; an advanced degree is preferred.
