Experience you will gain:
Digital Transformation Interns will learn how a wholesale bank works - how loans are made, how collateral is used, how a bank of banks influences the mortgage lending business and so forth. You will also assist with data driven activities that affect financial operational processes.
  • Learn to build, automate, and support data reports, metrics, and analytics
  • Collect, analyze and develop data/reports for managing various departments within the organization - including dashboards, monitoring credit risk, collateral, and/or operations risks
  • Meet with business units to gain understanding of the various bank processes
  • Learn to think out of the box and problem solve to simplify processes, minimize errors, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and controls, and leverage technology to automate manual processes

Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, economics, data science and have taken a few computer courses, or,
  • Pursing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering or related field and taken a few courses in economics, finance etc.
  • Demonstrated passion for using technology to solve problems
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills like problem solving, attention to detail, collaborating with team members and communicating results/findings to senior management
  • Comfortable with working and dealing with large and complex data sets
  • Ability to create and manipulate excel spreadsheets and data. Demonstrated knowledge of SQL query language, VBA (or other object-oriented programming language) and SSRS report builder is preferred
  • Ability to break down ideas/issues leading to solutions as well as conduct research to uncover answers and provide solutions
  • Organized and highly detail oriented. The ideal candidate would take initiative on various tasks and be successful in working groups and on teams
  • Comfortable working and learning in a virtual environment
