As a Leveraged Finance IB Credit Risk Vice President - Sports and Entertainment in Investment Banking Credit Risk team, you will make and support credit decisions for a portfolio of clients and transactions across the Sports and Entertainment sector. You partner with business teams to evaluate credit requests, structure financings, and balance risk and return for the firm. You maintain forward-looking risk assessments and accurate risk ratings through ongoing monitoring, escalation, and portfolio review. You help us uphold strong credit discipline and a culture of compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify key risk factors across clients, transactions, and sub-sectors and develop forward-looking risk assessments and recommendations
  • Lead or participate in client due diligence through meetings and analysis to understand companies, management teams, and industry dynamics
  • Build and use financial models to evaluate scenarios, value drivers, and structure recommendations aligned to risk assessment
  • Develop financing structures using corporate finance and accounting expertise and prepare and review credit approval materials in line with policy
  • Review and negotiate credit legal documentation to ensure terms align with approved structures and risk appetite
  • Maintain accurate, current risk ratings and proactively identify deteriorating credits and emerging problem situations
  • Prepare and present quarterly portfolio snapshots and annual portfolio review materials to senior management
  • Support analyst development through coaching, training, and oversight of work quality
  • Partner with middle office and data teams to ensure accuracy of credit system data

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7 years plus of commercial or investment banking lending experience, including extensive credit analysis, structuring, and marketing
  • Strong understanding of financial products, corporate finance, financial modeling, and market dynamics
  • Advanced knowledge of financial statements and accounting
  • Experience with credit agreement documentation
  • Knowledge of derivative products and related documentation, including ISDA and CSA

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • MBA or Chartered Financial Analyst designation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present analysis clearly and interact effectively with key stakeholders
  • Ability to perform client due diligence and support negotiation discussions
  • Ability to perform well under pressure while managing multiple priorities
