Overview
The Commercial Relationship Coordinator is responsible for the operational activities of the Commercial Lending, Business Banking and Cash Management departments. The role is also responsible for supporting the full commercial loan process while continuously developing efficiencies to streamline the process. The Commercial Relationship Coordinator supports the Bank's mission, values, goals and initiatives.
This will be a hybrid position with a requirement of no less than three (3) days on site in office.
Responsibilities
Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers.
  • Responsible for receiving and processing payments for commercial loans; processes flood determination requests, EDR requests, credit report requests; OFAC requests; AVM requests; records varies invoices, tracks payments from customers, and submits to accounts payable; balances G/Ls monthly; assigns new loan numbers as needed.
  • Processes G/L entries for loan funding and customer requests; establishes and maintains credit and legal files; process loan advances and construction disbursements.
  • Responsible for the post-closing review of loan files for quality control purposes. Duties include communicating necessary changes with the loan officer and closing attorney, as well as tracking for outstanding documents.
  • Assists loan officers and portfolio managers with collecting updated financials from customers on an annual basis and advancing the tickler date once received.
  • Assists loan officers and portfolio managers with tracking and processing all forms, invoices, and legal documents related to the loan modification and renewal processes.
  • Responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical tasks in support of their assigned loan officers, Cash Management Sales Manager, and Commercial Relationship Support Coordinator. Duties include but are not limited to: scheduling meetings, ordering business cards and other office supplies; assisting with meeting preparations; preparing documents for the on-boarding of new Business Banking and Commercial Lending employees.
  • Supports the Commercial Operations Manager with record retention in adherence to Bank policies.
  • Assists customers with problem resolution, research of accounts or other related matters as needed: directs phone inquiries to appropriate Loan Officer.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience for both internal and external customers by addressing issues or inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure department adherence to processes, policies and procedures; implement risk-mitigating controls as required.

OTHER ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Secondary support for the Commercial Operations Manager as needed.
Participate in meetings, user groups, conferences or on committees as requested
Provide support and assistance to other business lines as necessary, including cash management customer interactions and trainings
Supports the group at business development functions and events as necessary. Assists as needed.
Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.
SUPERVISORY SCOPE:
None
INDEPENDENT ACTION:
Performs work within established guidelines and according to specific procedures. Refers problems to immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or experience acquired through comparable position employment
  • Three years' experience in mortgage and/or commercial lending department preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping.
  • Manage time effectively and work independently
  • Maintain excellent communication and organization skills
  • Good communications, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines is a must.
  • Basic knowledge of the Bank's lending policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use various types of office equipment.
