Job description


First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a customer-focused and highly engaging Account Service Representative to join our team in the Consumer Loan Collections Department.
Compensation:
The salary range for the role is $16.15 - $22.50/hr; commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (hours may vary)
Responsibilities
In this role, you will assist with curing delinquent First Hawaiian Bank loans by contacting customers via phone or written correspondence. The Account Service Representative recognizes accounts and/or relationships that pose a credit risk and makes recommendations or takes prudent actions to reduce the Bank's exposure. This role is also responsible for providing excellent service to delinquent customers and to work in concert with the Relationship Officers to best service our delinquent loans.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's Degree in a business-related field preferred
  • MS Windows proficient (MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook)
  • Must be articulate, self-motivated and able to interact with a diverse group of individuals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving and negotiating skills are required in order to make critical decisions with minimal supervision
  • Must possess excellent telephone etiquette skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Able to plan and organize
  • Able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines
  • Able to handle confidential matters judiciously
  • Able to work beyond scheduled shift as needed
