Job description

Job Requirements

The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the company Controller by overseeing the day-to-day financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes. This position will manage various accounting functions, including the preparation of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Accounting Manager will also support the Controller in strategic financial planning and analysis to aid in the company’s growth and financial stability.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist the Controller in managing and implementing all company financial documents by ensuring the accuracy and timely preparation of the general ledger, payroll, invoicing, revenue, credit management, accounts receivable, and payables.
  • Manage daily accounting functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions and reporting, including preparing monthly financial reports and payroll documentation with a high level of accuracy.
  • Support the Controller in strategic planning, systems design, and financial analysis to facilitate the company’s growth by assisting in developing cash flow projections, budgets, and financial models for profit and cost centers.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards by collaborating with external auditors and CPA firms to facilitate tax planning and year-end financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and implement best practices by assisting in the implementation of new accounting systems and technologies.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related area of study, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a similar role within the electrical contracting industry.
  • Strong skills in identifying and implementing improvements in financial processes, and leverage technology to enhance accounting operations.
  • Knowledgeable with financial regulations and standards to effectively collaborate with external auditors and CPA firms.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing and reviewing financial documents and reports.
  • Ability to conduct thorough financial analysis, provide meaningful insights, and develop cash flow projections and budgets to support strategic financial decisions.
