Sales Coordinators are responsible for reporting internal sales data. This role is instrumental in providing productive communication with the inside and outside sales staff and uses problem solving skills on a daily basis to resolve internal or external customer inquiries.

Responsibilities of Position:

  • Perform administrative duties to support the region and the Region Sales Manager
  • Complete and distribute the monthly Sales Actual Report within 10 days of month end
  • Complete periodic reports for sales incentive program within 15 days of period end
  • Log billable activity for municipalities and/or other customers and mail invoices within 15 days of the month end
  • Audit the accuracy, execution, and scanning/processing of all contracts in the market
  • Review and process cancellations and maintain cancellation tracker logs
  • Manage other episodic and manual billing activity, as needed
  • Provide inside sales support to all region sales representatives, as needed
  • Retrieve and distribute resolutions on Operational or Credit/Collections referrals or disputes
  • Maintain complete and accurate customer files
  • Occasionally perform work as a back-up to inside sales in approving sales orders, as directed
  • Assist in direct mail/marketing activities
  • Assist in resolutions on Operational or Credit/Collections disputes, as needed
  • Assist with training new sales employees, as directed
  • Process and cancel all cut off commercial customers on monthly basis
  • Assist the sales team to ensure timely monthly reporting
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position will not manage employees

Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Possess proven analytical/problem solving solutions for the customer and the company
  • Must possess excellent customer service and data entry skills
  • Must work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete assignments within stated time frames
  • Ability to present and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications; AS400, a plus

Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:

  • 1-2 years previous experience as Administrative Assistance, Sales Support, or similar experience preferred
  • Waste industry experience a plus

Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:

  • Frequently lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 10 lbs
  • Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 50 lbs
  • Occasionally working outside in changing temperatures
  • Rarely working in wet/humid conditions
  • Rarely working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter
  • Occasionally stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling
  • Rarely climbing and/or balancing
  • Frequently sitting
  • Occasionally standing/walking

Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:

  • Ability to travel between offices, as required
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
