Overview
We are currently seeking an Analyst in our growing CRE group to support a team of Portfolio Managers. Primary responsibilities will include assisting in transaction underwriting, credit approval process, documentation and execution, monitoring, surveillance and reporting of Commercial Banking relationships.
Responsibilities
  • Monitoring of transaction level performance, financial statement analysis and covenant compliance.
  • Assisting Portfolio Managers in underwriting Project Finance and Structured Finance transactions.
  • Assist team in internal loan execution functions, and procedures, including credit submissions, loan closing, and loan servicing.
  • Interact with third party service providers associated with the transactions including servicers, custodians/trustees, field examiners, attorneys, etc.
  • Assist in evaluating numerous transaction types across a broad array of commercial asset classes, conducting analysis of the collateral, originator, servicer and developing cash flow models and loss coverage analyses.
  • Working with Relationship Mangers and Portfolio Managers to analyze and create requisite loan memoranda to generate new loans, amendments, modifications, renewals, extensions, and waivers.
  • Working with the team to ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship is in compliance with established EWB credit and regulatory policy, procedure and business strategy.
  • Assisting with due diligence/analysis with new client relationships, opportunity memos as appropriate.
  • Promptly coordinating with Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to respond to borrower requests.
  • Performing other duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or combination of education and directly related experience.
  • 1-3 years Commercial Credit experience and/or background in Accounting is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of CRE including the ability to analyze tax returns, company financials and property financials is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.), and able to adapt and learn bank technology platforms.
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, taking ownership of discreet tasks while working as part of a team.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with senior management as well as clients, with focus on quality and integrity.

Compensation
The base pay range for this position is USD $18.00/Yr. - USD $22.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
