Accounting Analyst — TrueStone LLC

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid — 4 days onsite, 1 day work from home)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Controller

Position Overview

TrueStone LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to support its day-to-day accounting operations and investor reporting. This role combines core AP/AR and bookkeeping responsibilities with exposure to fund-level accounting, including capital calls, investor distributions, and interest payments. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands-on experience across both traditional accounting and private lending/investment fund operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions, invoices, and credits
  • Set up bills for payment and ensure they are processed on time
  • Enter and maintain transactions in QuickBooks
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements in QuickBooks
  • Assist with processing and calculating interest payments
  • Contribute to the month-end close process
  • Track capital calls and distributions to investors
  • Support investor communications and reporting
  • Maintain various accounting trackers
  • Assist the Controller with various ad hoc requests and treasury functions
  • Scan and file financial documents as needed
Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in Excel is required
  • 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Working knowledge of core accounting principles (debits/credits, account reconciliation, month-end close) required
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable with numbers and data analysis
  • Proficient in the use of technology and various software tools
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment
