At a leading aerospace and defense location, Allied Universal Armed Access Control Officers monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $24.69 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Sat 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sun 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. * Monitor and control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation in accordance with established procedures. * Maintain accurate access-control, visitor, and incident records; report discrepancies, unauthorized access attempts, and unusual activity to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. * Respond to access-control incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and emergency response protocols. * Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: * Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree. * Possess an Armed Guard Card/License. * A valid firearms permit is preferred. * Be comfortable using a computer or tablet. * Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
