The client CEO has requested our talent acquisition and selection consultancy, BluZinc, to appoint a Senior Writer - a sharp, independent thinker and world-class storyteller to create bold, high-impact written content across newsletters, articles, and social media channels for one of the fastest-growing business media and education brands in the world.
Candidates must be based in the Austin Metro area or fully committed to relocating to collaborate in person with the executive and creative teams.
The Opportunity
You will craft stories, essays, and newsletters that inspire, educate, and provoke. You'll work directly with the CEO and content leadership team to build narratives that help millions think differently about money, investing, entrepreneurship, and freedom.
This is not a corporate writing job - it's an opportunity to create influential thought leadership content that reaches hundreds of thousands weekly and helps drive cultural conversation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Write, edit, and refine long-form and short-form copy across newsletters, website articles, courses, and community communications.
  • Translate complex business, investing, and freedom-focused ideas into compelling, accessible storytelling.
  • Maintain and evolve the brand's distinct voice: smart, contrarian, bold, and conversational.
  • Research, analyse, and synthesise topics around wealth creation, entrepreneurship, economics, and mindset.
  • Collaborate with the creative, community, and marketing teams to align written content with larger campaigns and launches.
  • Contribute to ideation and scripting for podcasts, YouTube, and live events.
  • Track performance metrics to understand what content resonates most with the audience.
BluZinc A-Player Criteria
We are only considering A-Players who:
  • Have 5-10+ years' experience in journalism, editorial, or creative writing within media, business, investing, or entrepreneurial education.
  • Can demonstrate spotlight achievements, such as:
    • Writing for or leading editorial content at a major business, finance, or entrepreneurial brand.
    • Building newsletter audiences (50K-1M+) through consistently high-performing storytelling.
    • Creating written content that inspired measurable action - subscriptions, engagement, purchases, or event attendance.
  • Are skilled in crafting a distinct, emotionally resonant brand voice.
  • Understand how to connect creative expression to audience growth and commercial outcomes.
  • Thrive in a fast-moving, founder-led, mission-driven environment that rewards clarity, courage, and results.
  • Are based in Austin, TX or committed to relocating for in-person collaboration.
Why Join
  • Work directly with a visionary CEO and leadership team at the forefront of business education and media.
  • Shape narratives that empower millions of people globally to achieve financial and personal freedom.
  • Join a creative team that values intellect, originality, and entrepreneurial energy.
  • Competitive compensation and performance-based rewards.
