Compensation: $25-$30/hour, based on experience
Location: Little Canada, MN
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM | No evenings or weekends
Support Our Service Team
Do you enjoy working with customers, solving problems, and keeping things moving? Tri-State Bobcat is looking for a Service Writer to serve as a key connection between our customers and service department.
This role is responsible for day-to-day You'll manage service requests from intake through completion, keeping customers informed while working closely with technicians, Parts, Drivers, and the Service Manager.
What You'll Do
  • Serve customers at the service counter and by phone
  • Take service calls and provide repair updates and estimated timeframes
  • Review technician Record 360 inspections and communicate findings to customers
  • Create and present repair estimates and obtain customer approvals
  • Create, update, and finalize service work orders
  • Communicate repair status, changes, and customer approvals with technicians and the Service Manager
  • Schedule equipment pickups and deliveries and handle related TSB and DVS invoicing
  • Notify customers when repairs are complete and coordinate pickup or delivery
  • Follow up with customers by text after service to check on completed work
  • Contact past customers who are due for service and promote service specials
  • Assist with warranty work orders, documentation, and claims
  • Maintain accurate service records and coordinate with Parts, Sales, Rentals, Drivers, and Technicians

We're looking for someone who is organized, responsive, customer-focused, and comfortable talking about equipment and repairs. You'll need to manage multiple work orders and customers while staying on top of details and following through from start to finish.

  • Previous customer service, service writer, service advisor, dealership, automotive, or equipment experience preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple customers, work orders, and deadlines
  • Comfortable communicating by phone, in person, and by text
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn dealership and service software
  • Mechanical or equipment knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
