Job description

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) is an industry-leading battery metals and critical material technology development and commercialization company. Our Pilot Plant just outside of Reno, Nevada will be the first integrated implementation of our multi-step processing train for the full mechanical processing, physical separation, chemical extraction, and production of commercial-scale battery metals that will be resold back into the battery manufacturing supply chain to enact a low-cost, low environmental impact, and domestically sourced closed-loop circular economy.

ABTC is seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern to join our dynamic Marketing team. This internship will provide hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing and communications, including content creation, social media management, public relations, and event coordination. The intern will support ongoing marketing initiatives, assist in the development of marketing materials, and contribute to the company's online and offline presence. This role is perfect for students or recent graduates looking to apply their skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment while gaining valuable insight into the battery technology industry.

Requirements

  • Assist in the creation of digital and printed communication and marketing.
  • Create content for various audiences to be distributed on multiple channels including website, social media, direct email, and printed materials.
  • Video Production: Assist with storyboarding, filming, and editing engaging, short-form video content (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) and long-form video projects.
  • Photography: Capture high-quality still photos for social media, website updates, and promotional materials.
  • Post-Production: Edit footage and images using Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, or mobile apps (CapCut/VN) to deliver polished, brand-aligned content.
  • Social Media Content Creation: Develop creative concepts, draft captions, and stay updated on the latest video trends to increase engagement and reach.
  • Asset Management: Organize, tag, and maintain photo and video files within our digital asset management system.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with the marketing team to align visual content with company goals.
  • Conduct market research, content analytics, and audience outreach intelligence to support communications and marketing strategies and activities.
  • Support event efforts, including logistics and material preparation.
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a degree in Photography, Videography, Animation or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, copywriting,copyediting, photography, videography, and other content creation.
  • Support the organization, maintenance and updates to company contact lists, files, and creative assets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Creative mindset with a passion for marketing.
  • Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingnes to travel to on-location shoots.
  • Insured professional camera gear and equipment or access to insured camera gear through school prgram.
