POSITION OVERVIEW

The CVM Specialist must be able to think strategically while also being hands-on in overseeing the day-to-day CVM responsibilities at the South Coast Plaza store of the agreed upon strategy with a focus on clients, people and brand desirability. This role will also support additional Southwest market doors as business needs require.They must model and champion our core belief; People Make the Difference and our values; Be Creative & Innovative, Deliver Excellence and Cultivate an Entrepreneurial Spirit.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Partner closely with CVM Director in the successful implementation and in-store execution of regionally defined product strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure styling guidelines and the merchandising strategy is upheld at the store on daily basis.
  • Track the effectiveness of company product initiatives that are highlighted withing the case lines and creative fixtures.
  • Train and inspire the Commercial and Operational teams and actively participate in daily/weekly floor walks providing solutions and insights that balance the needs of CVM standards and the business.
Creative Campaigns
  • Partner closely with CVM Director in the planning and implementation of creative CVM campaigns which include vitrines/case lines/towers and wall shelf fixtures.
  • Ensure the merchandise selected for each creative campaign fixture is the best and boldest while being properly installed, styled and lit to create an impactful presentation.
  • Manage the creative campaign ordering process, logistics and installation for floors.
  • Ensure effective creative campaign installations and maintenance plans. Track the effectiveness of creative campaigns and share with CVM Director.
  • Support with the execution of high-profile selling events, and special creative installations as they relate to product launches, events, activations, press previews and branding initiatives.
  • Support the installation and maintenance of seasonal displays and décor.
Operations | Communication
  • Independently maximize the CVM and Merchandising opportunities.
  • Communicate regularly to update CVM Director in regards to CVM business opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years’ experience in merchandising, visual display, styling, or related areas - preferably luxury retail.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Work early mornings, evenings, nights and weekends as needed.
  • Able to successfully navigate complex relationships.
  • Knowledgeable of local vendor sources for display supplies, hardware, props, furniture, flowers.
  • Experience with basic construction hand tools and painting
  • Computer skills required: email/Outlook, Microsoft Excel & Word and working knowledge of Photoshop and In Design
  • Live in, or within reasonable commute to South Coast Plaza
  • Comfortable in and appreciative of a luxury retail setting.
  • Theatre or color display lighting experience a plus.

The hiring range for this position ranges from $70,125 - $94,875. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
