Job description

The Creative Resource Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day resourcing of King & Partners’ Creative department, ensuring every project is staffed with the right people at the right time. This role maintains a comprehensive understanding of all ongoing and upcoming streams of work across the agency, proactively assigning resources, adjusting plans as priorities evolve, and ensuring the team is operating at optimal utilization without compromising quality.

Success in this role requires exceptional organization, strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate understands both the creative process and agency operations, and can proactively identify resource challenges before they impact delivery.

This person will report directly to K&P’s CCO as well as the CEO and COO.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the day-to-day resource management of all Creative team members, including Designers, Art Directors, Copywriters, Creative Directors, Motion Designers, UX/UI Designers, Strategists and freelance creative talent.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with Creative team members to understand workload, capacity, challenges, and development opportunities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each creative team member’s strengths, interests, career goals, and areas for growth.
  • Review timesheet data weekly to compare planned resource allocations against actual time spent, making proactive adjustments to staffing, schedules, and future resource planning.
  • Build and maintain short- and long‑term staffing plans across all active projects and retainers.
  • Balance workloads to maximize utilization while maintaining sustainable team capacity.
  • Identify upcoming resource gaps and proactively recommend hiring, freelance support, or schedule adjustments.
  • Manage the agency’s freelance creative network, including identifying needs, onboarding freelancers, assigning work, and monitoring performance.
  • Participate in recruiting efforts for full-time creative hires, including interviewing candidates and assessing team fit.
  • Support onboarding plans to ensure new creative team members are integrated successfully into active project work.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Be driven, energetic, organized, and full of great ideas.
  • Experience working in an agency environment and overseeing project teams.
  • Proven history working with luxury, real estate and/or hospitality brands.
  • Superior organization and communication skills.
  • Effective with multitasking, time management and prioritization.
  • A ‘get it done’ mentality and be passionate, self‑motivated and a team player.

COMPENSATION

The compensation range for this position is between $120,000 – $150,000. The salary will commensurate with the candidate’s overall work experience.
