Job description

The University of Alaska Anchorage is recruiting for a Communications Specialist to work with Enrollment Services. If you are interested and have experience in communications, enrollment services, or related fields, then we encourage you to apply!
The Communications Specialist develops and delivers engaging print, digital, email, and web content that supports student recruitment and enrollment goals. Working closely with Admissions and campus partners, this position creates compelling communications, manages marketing projects and vendor relationships, and ensures consistent, student-centered messaging across multiple platforms. The role also supports recruitment events and coordinates enrollment communications through Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other CRM tools.
To thrive in this role the candidate would be a creative and collaborative communicator with strong writing, editing, and project management skills. They excel at developing engaging content across print and digital platforms, balancing multiple priorities, and working with diverse stakeholders to deliver high-quality communications. Success in this role requires attention to detail, an understanding of digital marketing and CRM communications, and a passion for creating accessible, audience-focused content that supports student recruitment and enrollment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field and two years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position Details:
This is a full-time, term-funded, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 78, based on education and experience.
