Job description

The XCM Design Department is looking for an experienced, hands-on Creative Director whose passion for design is matched by flawless execution and smart strategic thinking. The ideal candidate is a design thinker and maker - equally comfortable concepting brand systems and rolling up their sleeves to execute alongside the team - who develops bar-raising creative for visual brand identities, onsite experiences, and campaigns spanning Amazon's portfolio. They are a problem solver with a strong bias for action and dedication to craft, equally skilled working across digital, social, broadcast, print, and OOH channels.

They thrive collaborating with designers, writers, motion designers, photographers, and marketing professionals to deliver brand experiences seen by millions of customers worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
Lead hands-on creative development from concept through delivery across brand systems, campaigns, and digital/physical channel executions - actively contributing to the work, not just directing it.
Develop and maintain brand identity and system guidelines that scale across multiple global touchpoints.
Direct, manage, and mentor a team of internal designers, writers, creative contractors, and external agencies while remaining a hands-on contributor to the work.
Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research, and marketing teams to translate strategy and consumer insights into compelling creative.
Design and produce mockups, prototypes, and production assets across digital, social, broadcast, print, and OOH channels.
Own brand personality and creative vision across XCM's portfolio of Amazon brands and initiatives, evangelizing brand purpose globally.
Partner with motion designers, photographers, and directors to execute high-production brand experiences.
A day in the life
As Creative Director, you will partner with Designers, CDs, and the Group CD to bring exceptional ideas to life through brand design.
On any given day you might be:
Concepting and designing alongside the team - not just reviewing work, but actively creating mockups, exploratory directions, and production-ready assets.
Interpreting a creative brief and rapidly developing design directions that respond to both business goals and customer needs.
Directing a small team of designers in close collaboration with program managers, production, motion, and media teams.
Presenting creative concepts to senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders with clarity, confidence, and narrative.
Developing or refining brand system guidelines that scale across global touchpoints.
Advocating for the brand, the design organization, and your team across Amazon's broader partner ecosystem.
Managing multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining high creative standards against deadlines.
