Description

The Senior Project Manager supports client success by managing internal account operations, workflow and teams while simultaneously guiding clients on process, roadmapping and best practices. They are responsible for leading the delivery of social media deliverables on behalf of TSL clients, applying quantitative and qualitative analysis skills to develop insights on resourcing, budgets, risk mitigation and overall efficiency and effectiveness. As such, this is a client-facing role.
The Senior Project manager plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budgets for internal teams and external Clients. They manage a dynamic team of individuals who constantly search for creative ways to elevate the presence of social to meet client business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management Responsibilities
  • Manage internal and external projects within assigned areas from inception to successful execution:
    • Define project objectives, scope, and level of effort
    • Develop project strategies and plans, and identify the methods and tools required for the project alongside agency and client SMEs
    • Get projects off the ground, keep them on track and on budget, and resolve issues with customers
    • Monitor progress against plan
    • Lead IAT status meetings
  • Establish workflow plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arrange for acquisition of project personnel
  • Managing project time tracking tasking, monitoring, and reporting
  • Prepare communications for management, client, and others, including project status reports, project time/budget reports, and other project-related documents
  • Confer with project personnel to provide advice and to resolve problems
  • Pull hours and analyze scope completion against work delivery, help us stay on top of leading indicators within our scopes, own and elevate where reconciliation is needed
  • Coordinate and respond to requests for changes from original scope specifications
  • Conceptualize creative solutions, documenting them, and presenting/selling them vertically and horizontally
  • Ensure quality through quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control techniques
  • Identify, analyze, and manage risks throughout project to maximize the results of positive events and minimize the consequences of adverse events on the project
  • Provide positive leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle
  • Demonstrate ability to lead and motivate talent and apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels. Ability to operate effectively internally and externally and effectively help the agency navigate a matrixed organization and nuanced agency partner dynamic
  • Ability to communicate needs and schedules to internal stakeholders and clients, as well as ensure that plans are in place and standards are adhered to
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Client business objectives and industry trends

Collaboration and Presentation Responsibilities
  • Work alongside multi-disciplinary TSL teams to support delivery of social-first strategies and ideas
  • Collaborate with cross-agency partners and effectively represent the needs of The Social Lights team as well as client interests
  • Present strategic thinking and risk mitigation outputs to clients and internal partners

People Management Responsibilities
  • Support dynamic and varying project teams throughout the agency across a matrixed client structure
  • Oversee strengths and opportunities of teammates to ensure delivery output

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 4-6+ years of progressive agency and business experience.
    • Ideal candidate has 4+ years in managing matrixed client organizations
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Strong planning, forecasting, analytical, and research skills
  • Effective verbal and written presentation skills, ideally versed in both Keynote and PowerPoint
  • Experience in gaming - either personally or professionally
  • Prior project management proficiency in planning and management tools
  • Prior experience in navigating a social first projects and deliverables
  • Well-organized, strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality with business relations, personnel matters, and proprietary matters
  • Proficient in the Adobe Suite, Google Suite, Asana, Microsoft Suite and Slack
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
