Key Responsibilities 
 
  • Client & Project Leadership: Serve as the primary client contact and manage projects from consultation through installation, setting clear expectations and maintaining consistent communication.
  • Planning & Coordination: Build and manage schedules, budgets, resources, site surveys, permits, kickoffs, and progress meetings while coordinating designers, production staff, fabricators, installers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Budget & Vendor Management: Track costs, protect margins, and manage supplier and contractor performance to deliver cost-effective results.
  • Quality & Risk Management: Review deliverables from design proof through installation, uphold quality and brand standards, and resolve risks before they affect schedule, budget, or client satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills

  • YOU MUST LIVE IN THE COLUMBUS MSA as this is an in-person role.
  • Experience: Proven project management experience in sign manufacturing or a closely related industry. Branding, rebranding, or large-scale program experience is a plus.
  • Industry & Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of signage design, fabrication, installation, materials, permitting, ADA requirements, project management methods, and related software.
  • Organization & Judgment: Ability to manage 40–80 projects in different phases, maintain attention to detail, solve problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Communication & Leadership: Excellent written, verbal, client-service, and team leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse clients, employees, vendors, and contractors.
  • Business & Design Acumen: Ability to protect margins, evaluate vendors, meet KPIs, and apply strong aesthetic judgment.
  • Education & Mindset: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, plus a collaborative, coachable, growth-oriented attitude.
  • Preferred Certification: PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, CSM, or a similar credential is helpful but not required.
